Question about Microsoft Xbox 360 Console
My 360 was played all day, then I watched a movie on it that night and I had fallen asleep and left it on all night till six oclock in the morning then I shut it off. Then tried to play it at bout eight oclock that same morning just a couple hours after turning it off at six oclock and it worked for about ten minutes and black lines appeared on the screen like it was freezing up, then I shut it off and turned it back on to play it after freezing up and it went to a black screen that said "system error. contact xbox customer support". Then at the bottom it said in big white letters E 74, one flashing red light, and none of the controllers would not connnect to the xbox so we could play with them not even the one with the cord. So I was needing some help badly!!!!!
E74 is an AV cable error/ GPU hardware failure error. If you left your system on all night and all day there is a very good chance you overheated it. If you have a warranty i would use it If not call MS to see if there Manufacturing warranty will cover it. Just tell them that you have E74 error and then youll have to give them the S/N off the Xbox and they will let you know if it will cost you anything. You can look up this error on
