Loud static Hi, I'm having problems with the audio.....  I hear very loud static on playback and not much else.  If I shout into the mic, or clap, I can sometimes hear that but not when i'm talking normally.  I've played around with the settings- with no success!    help!

I also get a huge amount of static, but it isn't my windows live settings, I'm testing the hardware in my audio properties and getting the same problems. I have reinstalled the drivers a hundred times and reinstalled the full software for lifecam and cannot figure out why all I get is static. For a long time I had the camera configured as my microphone and yet one day I started to have this problem, I have no idea what changed to cause this.

Static noise

Try connecting an external mic while recording. If it works fine, there may be a probem with your mic

There is a horrible echo whenever i try to record and then there's a loud noice that sounds like a very high-pitched whistle and i don't know what to do.

This type of audio feedback loop can happen on any mic if you are playing back audio at a loud volume on speakers that are close to the mic while the mic is on - which tends to happen on Skype calls. Try lowering your speaker volume or using headphones to hear the audio, then speak into mic, and the feedback should be reduced.

My N95 has a loud beeping sound when making or recieving calls so loud you cant hear the other person talk.

It appears that you have microphone feedback between Mic. and speaker.Mic sensitivity to high in usual cases or audio output to high or both. Only solution is to have it repaired by an expert.

Hi i am using the audio technica at2035 condensor mic and the m audio mobile pre 2nd gen. audio interface. yesterday the mic was working fine with no problems but today for some reason i have to really...

This mic has a 10db pad or attenuator switch near the bottom of the barrel... make sure you haven't accidentally engaged it.

If that's not.... it try changing the lead. Also the power supply on your preamp could be failing.
These are a few cheap things to try before spending money for fixing.

Camera records loud background noise.

Ensure your webcam mic is set as default
Right click on speaker icon in System Tray or from Control Panel
Select "Playback Devices"
The speaker icon ( checked as working) and volume level graph should be visible
Right click on the volume graph and click "Test"
Left hand speakers followed by right hand should be heard

Click "Recording" tab.
To set required (webcam) mic as default - click on mic font to highlight and click "Properties"
In lower dropbox display "Use this device enable" click 'OK'
Click "Levels" tab and ramp up sliders ( adjust to suit later)
Return to "Recording". Test mic by speaking and make sure volume graph displays

Restart computer

If the problem is due to feedback try using a set of headphones

I can hear my voice in my headsets..its very loud..if I blow into the mic..its like an actual live mic

all headsets feature what I think is called side tone. you need to hear a bit of yourself when speaking on a microphone as a bit of communication reassurance. When thew microphone level is up way too loud , that's more than side tone, it's annoyance that's when you get the problem that you've listed. I've seen it on telephone headsets and Mobile Phones but i'm sure it would happen on gaming headsets too...
Good Luck

Computer problem

The iPhone is set up funky.

One of the ports on the bottom is the speaker, and the other is the mic.

It's not dual speaker like it looks. So it's coming from the right place. It's just not that loud.

That's one problem the iPhone has. Playback audio isn't loud enough.
