Question about Philips 32PW9308 32" TV

Open Question

Philips 32PW9308 I have had my Philips Philips 32PW9308 for about 4 years and this morning the screen started changing colours and then settled down. I have now turned it back on and the screen is purple/pink in colour with horizontal lines. I can hear the sound, switch it over and even hear SKY when switched on but that is it. I have checked the leads and arial/dish and they seem OK. Another TV in the house works on the same TV arial so I presume it is the 32PW9308. Would it be the tube and is it worth repairing? I hope you can help me. Regards, Roger204

My picture keeps changing from having a purple tint, to having a green one. Then it goes normal for a minute or 2 then goes purple again. The tv is 5 years old. Is it worth repairing.

SOURCE: Horizontal lines slowly moving down

Sounds like you have a power supply filtering problem. Perhaps a filter capacitor is going bad. If your set has a switching power supply oscillations from it are getting into the video. You need to have a tech to check it out for you. You should get an estimate first before having it repaired. Stargazer

You have a bad connection on the CRT board thats mounted on the end of the picture tube it sounds like, or the socket on that board that plugs into the TV set is intermittant or has a bad solder connection on it. Good Luck

SOURCE: CVI connection

On a Philips TV the only way I know to switch to any of the inputs is by scanning using channel up or down. This model is capabable of 480P input only at the CVI/Component input. This is not a HD television. It is only a EDTV (enhanced definition) if you try and input anything iver 480P IE: 720p or 1080i, the double image and/or lines is what you will get.

Vx 570 auto settlementIf I manually settle my VeriFone credit card terminal in the morning, why doesn't it auto settle at the scheduled time that night?

the terminal is set internally to settle each day on it's own. you can have this turned off if you don't like the feature.
if you select the 0 key or press enter if 0 does not take you to configuration menu. enter your default password or 1 alpha alpha ( key is above the 2)66831 enter, then select the purple more key until you see merchant id.
select merchant id. then press next until you see auto settle time, press select when you see auto settle time. remove the time using backspace key, select exit and save changes red x to main screen. the auto settle should be removed now. but if you do a download you will lose this information so it is best to contact your processor to have your file updated.

I have a 4.3 engine wont start in morning unless i pour gas in throtle body wont give a shot of gas when i turn on key but will start all day after first start in morning

without knowing the year, make, model, and mileage it sounds like you have a partially blocked fuel filter. the problem occurs after the vehicle sits for long periods of time such as overnight. the trash in the filter has time to settle and block the fuel line so the engine doesn't get the fuel it needs to start. by pouring gas into the engine you are allowing the engine to start and pressurize the fuel system and force the blockage out of the way enough to allow fuel to the engine, as long as you start it up every so often the the trash in the filter cant settle enough to restrict fuel flow. this will be a very good place to start looking for a fuel flow issue.

Have the transmission checked, this could be a torque converter issue. It settles down after it starts and fills with fluid again.

Hi there,

This can only be a bad soldered on the video module, its better to check for any bad soldered and for any fault on the resistor on the video output module.

Hope this initial info / idea helps.

Please Accept my solution if I solved the issue.

LG PLASMA TV WITH COLOURED LINES OVER SCREEN

If the Video (Picture/Pix) is gone but you can hear the Audio (sound), then it could mean the YSUS PCB Assembly is gone/kaput/finish. Can replace the PCB, not repair the PCB due to timing circuitry involve. Cost maybe roughly $500 depending where you located. The PCB is located on the left hand side of your TV when you are facing the back (Back open). Might find 3-4 brown flex membrane connecting to the plasma panel. The PCB has a silver or black aluminum heatsink (big) on it.
Good Luck.
