Re: kernel data inpage error

It is best practice with a used computer to completely format and
clean-install Windows. In your case, this is what you definitely need to
do after performing some hardware diagnostics. Here are links that will
show you how to do a clean install and what you will need on hand:

Windows installation setup says not find any hdd disk drives installed and says cannot continue

You need to go into BIOS by pressing an F key during boot. Look on the screen for correct Function key. Check if BIOS still recognizes a hard drive. If not, you need to physically reconnect drive and try again.

This item was designed fro use with Windows NT4 or Win2000 so XP may have driver errors.
If you have upgraded XP to SP3 try updates from Windows for a fix, otherwise re instalation of the original OS may be needed.
Have you run CHKDSK/F to check for hard drive errors? That is most likely to be the problem as if the drive is formatted to anything other than FAT32 you may be getting read errors.
Nice old machine. It will be a shame to have to ditch it.

I search for a driver for my laptop TOSHIBA T9000 MODEL N° PT900E-06QW3-FR

Drivers are dependent on the version of Windows installed. You can download from Toshiba support page but they may only work on XP or older. If you have installed a new OS, try installing XP drivers or search Windows update.

Click here to go to Toshiba driver download page. Drivers are for Tecra 9000.

I have a toshiba satellite a205-4707 when i got it it would freeze at startup i had a ancient copy of xp pro sp1 i could only install with power cord unplugged.even after install if i plugged in power cord...
get this from my shared drive(read instructions in there)

and wipe your disk clean (Warning...this process will make you lose all data on disk so be careful, if posible backup all critical data that you need)
once done install WinXP SP3(get a Windows XP cd from a friend or download a pirated copy from net) look for "WinXP SP3 piratebay" in google

when installing WinXP make more than 2 partitions (C, D, E)
Install WinXP in C
once done, let Windows boot and show Desktop
install WinVista or Win7 in D
use E for saving your critical data

Drive Smart Read Error / Kernel Data Inpage Error/1000-0143

have you restarted the PC? If you have and it works, then this error is NOT too much to worry about... As long as the drive is Booting for now you can copy off your files etc to say a USB drive... You do not need to copy the programs etc, usually you simply copy over your "My Documents" or "Users" directories. As all files saved are generally "Under" there if you have any, anywhere else of course you need to get them as well. Now the drive may NOT be totally "Ruined" it may simply require a Re-Format, and then replace the Operating System. After which you can restore your settings. Below is a Microsoft link that tells you › ... › Computer Setup and Maintenance -
Either with the "Old" drive or a "New" drive. set BIOS to boot from CD/DVD and put the Windows Install DVD in the drive, boot of this and follow instructions, when you come to the place to partition & Format, do this and do a full NTFS format... after which your system will be installed and you can load your drivers and programs again Also before doing all this go to the manufacturers web site and download ALL drivers for your model PC & Operating System. You need to do this so you can install the drivers for all your Video, Sound, WiFi network etc. after you install your operating System

Error 0X0000007A (0XC07C1AB0, 0XC000000E, 0XF8356642, 0X0A1F0860) When i switch on my PC i get this blue screen error report. i don't know what this error is. please give me the recovery suggestion. Thanks...

How To Fix This Error

Error Message:
Stop Error 0x0000007A (Kernel data inpage error) Translation:
This occurs due to a memory error from a faulty hardware device or virus. Solution:
If your system freezes during Operating System installation, make a note where the installation stopped. Often, you can narrow down your problem by knowing when the freeze occurs.

Frequently, installation freezes are caused by incorrect settings in the CMOS (complimentary metal-oxide semiconductor). The CMOS stores special configuration settings for your computer’s hardware and is used by the BIOS (Basic Input/Output System) when your machine boots. Your motherboard or system should have come with a manual that describes the CMOS settings. If you don’t have a manual, download one from your manufacturer’s Web page. To change the CMOS settings, press the keys as shown in your manual or on your PC’s startup screen (often DELETE, ESC, CTRL-ESC, or CTRL-ALT-ESC) immediately after you boot your computer. If you change any of the CMOS settings, write down your changes and keep them in a safe place. Then you can refer to the settings if you need to change them back or redo them if you reinstall or upgrade to a new version of Windows later on.

Incorrect CMOS settings for system cache memory and RAM may confuse the Windows installer and freeze the system. If your system freezes during setup, try disabling the system cache memory. If you are able to install the system after your CMOS changes, then you fixed the problem. If this doesn’t work, then try adding a wait state to (or slowing down the timing on) your RAM. (Wait states are periods where the CPU pauses while waiting for data from slower components.) Adding a wait state causes the computer to address the memory less quickly and often fixes unexpected freezing problems, black screens, or unprovoked reboots. After Windows is fully installed, use the new system for a while to make sure it is stable. Then, restart the system and change the CMOS settings back. If the system remains stable, keep the settings; otherwise return to the stable settings permanently.

Bad RAM chips or a boot sector virus can cause inexplicable freezes during installation. If you suspect your memory might be the trouble and you have extra RAM chips around, try the installation with the other chips instead. If you think you have a boot sector virus on your hard drive, then use a bootable CD-ROM or diskette to check and clean your hard drive using programs such as Norton AntiVirus ( or McAfee VirusScan (

I have a toshiba tecra m3.i tried to install windows xp media center edition????with no joy! it keeps saying install disk 2 when i install disk 2 nothing happens , i have windows on the laptop but nothing...

First you have to know if that Windows XP Media Center is compatible with your laptop, it should be properly installed to avoid errors.

Second if you don't have drivers, you have to access the internet so you don't have any choice but to use another computer to download all the drivers for your laptop

Here's the site for your tecra laptop
