alot of the sonys you have to take the entire back off to get to the HDD . usualy the HDD is under the palm rest of the laptop. It is not a hard process just about 10 screws to take it off. if it gives you problems sometimes you have to remove the trim bezel up where the power button is to gain access to screws hidden under there .

Go on Google and don't use Bing cause that thing is just plain sh.t.  Type Sony and your model laptop and what ever part your trying to remove like "hard drive removal" Do the same thing on You Tube.  Peace unto you Brotha.
