Problem for MSI Motherboard
Black screen on Boot

My computer sometime do not boot, I've got a black screen (No Signal) and hangs there until I unplug the computer from power line. My configuration is: MSI P35 Platinum Combo Bios V1.2(updated), Q6600, DDR3 Kingstone 1333(works like 1066), Power Supply 550W, MSI8600GT DDR3,WD 320GB,LGDVD etc. From the LED on my mainboard I've got Uncorrect instaled RAM...(maybe that will help) Please Help me , I will thank you forever tnx.

- 1.The Modules are correctly installed. 2. All the memory is DDR3 its 2x2GB Kinstone 1333. 3.I've tried with one single memory- It's working, and with other also... 4. I also removed the Turbo Cards on my motherboard, but the problem sitll persist. I can't turn on my computer in the morninng. But in other periods he is working normaly( shutdown's , restarts he is booting without a problem)Nov 08, 2009
- The type of memory is compatible with my mainborad from MSI specification list. So how can I check if there is a fault on the board? ( I still have the problem in the morning :)) :((Solution #1

1. Check the memory modules are correctly installed.
2. Check that all the installed ram is DDR3 - this board will not accept DDR2 andDDR3 together.
3. If you have more than one memory module remove one and try booting. If all is ok try just the other one.
4.Try with DDR2 memory
If this does not work then you could consider using a single 2Gb memory stick, or contacting MSI directly.

- If the board works OK with either of the single RAM modules installed then the problem is either with the type of memory you are using being not compatible with your board or there is a fault on the board.Nov 09, 2009
- This problem is well known on this MSI board - some people have increased the ram voltage to 1.95v as the memory needs to be overclocked to support 1066.If this does not work then you could consider using a single 2Gb memory stick, or contacting MSI directly.
