Error on camera

good day
i have a fuji camera finepix S5600 5.1mp, on the screen it shows a error (focus error) i am away at the moment and do not have my manual with me, i took it in to a place in richards bay and they are telling me that i need to buy a new camera

I have a new camera and just bought a new SD card and it has the message "card not initailized"
So I don't think that it is the camera.
