No video signal ,flyback lines on my 29pt philips

Never tune G2 voltage too up to a state, to appear retrace lines on screen. it is bad. It might make the CRT damaged. Check the video output card, and the voltages comes to it. This card can be located at the neck of the picture tube itself, will directly plugged to its back of the neck. Reduce the G2 voltage, in such a way that, there is no retrace lines appear. Along with the flyback transofrmer, its horizontal output transistor also must be replaced. I don't know whether you have replaced it or not. If not, replace it too. It can be located very near to the flyback transformer, a three terminal component, black in colour, usually screwed to a metal heatsink. Then switch on the TV and measure the video output voltage at the video output card pluged directly to the picture tube neck. The collector of the video aoutput transistors must come around 145VDC. If it also is there, advance the screen control on the flyback transformer to get a raster. If that voltage is not there, it means that the flyback transformer is not working, and horizontal oscillator stage should be checked for oscillation, check the lined drive transformer for its primary winding open, Check the entire horizontal oscillator section. The collector point of the line drive transistor, the transistor that drives the line drive transformer, a small transformer soldered diretly to the printed circuit board; should be checked with frequency meter. The frequency at that point should come around 15525HZ approx: OK.

Video output section of your tv is in trouble. Either it not gets proper voltage [low voltage if voltage is there]; or video output Ic or transistors whichever used may got damaged. Never switch on the tv in this condition; that picture tube may get damaged. Get it repaired soon.

checked the vedeo section of the main PCB of the unit, maybe some defective parts, try to look the back of the picture tube if theres a light, if none, cheke also the horizontal section, especially the flyback transformer

I have Philips CTV 21 PT 240B/94R. and this time a problem are when set on chenel are not stop to change only forward and bottom right side Display Scan+

If the set has sound the flyback is fine the proble is the SSB witch is the video processor part number 310432716308.

You have no high voltage, like many in this forum, this model of Philips has some of the same problems. Look around here you may find the answer to your set. If not check Vertical IC, TDA8177, audio ic on signal board up front on left. check Power supply first for blown fuse, 1000, 2004, 1300, 1900 etc. No sound or pic means something is open. Does set has L E D lights on front of set?

Check the damper diode and the protection resistor in the High Voltage circuit. Good Luck.

Flyback lines? Is the picture all white with no brightness control with faint horizontal faint lines? If this is what you are saying, the screen voltage could be bad, and if thats the case, the picture tube or the flyback itself could be bad. You could also have a bad connection on the crt socket
