My nikon coolpix 5700 takes great pictures. My LCD

My nikon coolpix 5700 takes great pictures. My LCD screen works fine when I'm taking the pictures. When I press the ''view'' button to look at the pictures I've taken, nothing appears. The button pushes down just fine, but it's as if there is no connection. I know my screen isn't broken, but could their be a connection problem between the button and the circuit board?
