Remove the battery from the back of the phone. Put it back and and restart the phone. When it turns on it should be back to normal.

How to move or download a music file to be a ringtone

This option allows you to transfer music files from your PC. In order to use this option, you must install V CAST Music with Rhapsody on your PC. 1. Open V CAST Music with Rhapsody software. Don’t have V CAST MUSIC with Rhapsody software? Download it for free at 2. Install the device USB drivers before connecting your phone to a PC. USB Cable and Device Drivers can be purchased separately via the Music Essentials Kit compatible with this device. 3. From the main screen on your phone, the SYNC MUSIC V CAST MOBILE PHONE display appears. Your phone should display the message: Connected. Connection may take a few seconds. 4. Drag and drop the song(s) you want to sync from My Library, to your V CAST Music with Rhapsody mobile phone, listed under the Sources tab. Once synchronization is complete, press the END/Power Key and disconnect the USB cable (purchased separately). 5. Under the Music & Tones menu, open My Music to view and play your music. • A compatible USB cable (sold separately) is required for syncing. • Music can also be purchased via V CAST Music with Rhapsody through your PC.
Hope this helps, let me know if I can help you with anything else.

Cant play the music

Add music to I9

Connect your i9 to your PC via the USB cable.
On the phone select "Mass Storage Device".

On the PC you will see 2 new drives appear.
One will be the SD card. The other is the Phones internal memory.

Now just simply copy your MP3 files to the Memory card folder "My Music".
Do not use the phones internal memory as it just is not big enough.

The Audio player will only play music from a folder called "My Music" or "MP3"
depending on which firmware version you have on your i9. If one doesn't work try naming it the other!
Also make sure you are selecting the right storage area in the Audio player options, either the phone
or the memory card, because there can be identical music folders on both, and if you don't choose the
correct storage location, your music files still won't show in the Audio player!
Make sure the audio file is in a format the i9 can play. Known music file types are mp3, wav, amr, m4a, & mp4.
DO NOT place music in sub folders within either of the My Music or MP3 main folders, the Audio player
will not find them unless the music files are directly within the proper My Music or MP3 folders!

Every time you add new music to your i9 you will need to refresh the List in order for the audio
player to see all the newly added songs. To do this open the player. Tap "List" at the bottom of
the screen. Tap "Options". Tap "Refresh list". You can also go into the audio player settings &
turn ON the "List auto gen." option. If the option is ON, then after you add new music, the new
music should be added to the entire list of music already showing. If you have problems with the
music list showing up empty, or new music you have just added not showing up in the current list
of songs, then try turning OFF the List auto gen option and refresh the list manually again by using
the Refresh list option as described earlier. Manually refreshing the music list must be done every
time you add new music files to the phone if the List auto gen option is OFF.

You get to the List auto gen option by two ways with the Audio player open and onscreen
for most i9 firmware (some firmware might not have it, or may be in another area);

1.) Tap the little wrench icon to the far right on the black option panel,
then scroll down to the List auto gen. option!

2.) Tap the List option at the bottom of the screen, tap the Options button
at the bottom of the
screen, tap the Settings button, scroll down to List auto gen.

Downloading to a zte c79

i JUST bought this phone, and got very frustrated trying to download music into the music player. Drag and drop your music files from your pc into your "my music" folder. They DO NOT show up right away, this is why i got pissed. I figured I was doing something wrong. I had the card in my phone, and my phone plugged into the usb port. They finally showed up on my phone after I took the card out and put it back in. As far as saving them for ringtones, I am pretty pissed that I can't do it. I am thinking Metro wants us to pay for them. That is such b&*%$#*!

LG 260 Rumor - Unable to read/play music off memory card

I FOUND THE PROBLEM! You need a CoreMicro Micro SD Adapter and the USB that goes with it. Mine said it was right-protected until a person on a website told me to move a white switch upwards on the adapter. Holding the Adapter facing you, make sure the switch on the left side is moved upwards. Put it in the USB port, and then into the computer jack. Go to WMP (windows media player) and go to your library. Right-click any song and click the "go to file location" button. That way you are at the actual file location and not a link to it for playing. You see a list of all the songs you have at the raw source. Make a folder and name it "Music". Drag the songs you want on your phone into the folder. They will disappear from the menu into the folder but not from the computer so you still have the music files on your computer. With the Music file in view, right-click and go to the "Send to" button and click on the "Removable Storage" button (or something that looks similar but the same words). A loading screen should pop up and start loading the files. You are done! Remove the USB and the Adapter, put the memory card in and charge er' up! It worked for me and i hope it works for you. Thanks.

Unable to playback downloaded music on the cellular phone

The reason why it doesn't play is probably related to the file format of your music files. Make sure they are 128-192 kbps MP3 files.

Mp3 Player

Once you've added new mp3 files it is necessary to update the track listing in the music player. When you open the music player, it gives you 5 options to go to. You'd ordinarily got to 'Now Playing' but because the track listing has changed you're now required to go to 'Tracks'. When you hit this button the phone searches your media files for any audio media it can play. This may take a minute depending on how many tracks you have, but once it's done you just press play and you're done.
