Can you still hook up a DVD & VCR Recorder through Rogers PVR and record to disc anything you have on the PVR memory to a disc to have a hard copy to keep and free up space on PVR memory????

I think you will have difficulties with DVD or Video tapes that have imbedded copy right signas l if you feed the video cable from old device into PVR s input source. You may find the PVR will refuse to record due to copyright . Does the PVR have a USB port you may be able to plug in a 20 Terabytes USB portable drive into it . I am not familiar with the rogers PVR but check its manual to see if it can.
you may be able to convert the DVD or Video Tape into an MPEG -2 or MPEG -4 format and read it on the PVR using a computer.
Copyright law may allow you to convert the type of media (you must own the rights to use original copy) to another format of media (PVR) for your use only. Check if copyright in your country allows this in Australia it is covered under

I wish to download recorded programmes from my humax to my panasonic hd dvd for archiving purposes. I have only one hdmi connection on each and only one hdmi connection on my tv. I have an adaptor that...

The HDMI on the DVD wil be outbound only I suspect. There is a utility available on the internet called TwinRIP which enables you to copy the files off the Humax onto a PC so they can be burnt to aq DVD

I cannot get my DVR4300 to go in to TV channel change mode while recording a program

Why not simply record a channel tuned into the vcr and use your tv remote to watch a channel tuned into your tv? that is how it is normaly done... don't forget a vcr/pvr/dvd recorder has it's own channels just like a tv does... just no screen of it's own the tv has of course it's own channels and in fact does not even need to be switched on in order for your recorder to record a program neither does the recorder need to be on to use your tv

Green Picture

The problem sounds like one I had. If so, the cause is as follows.

The Daewoo ouputs synchronisation information on the green channel of the RGB outputs (which are pins in the SCART socket) The Panasonic TV automatically preferentially selects the RGB input in the SCART rather than the composite video signal in the SCART. The video circuits in the Panasonic should ignore the sync on the green channel but instead interpret the sync as green signal information which means the adjustment of the green channel is upset leading to a very green picture.

Possible solutions:
1. From the TV, manually select composite video input, not RGB. This may not be possible - I think the TV automatically goes for the RGB if it is present.
2. Disconnect the wire to pin 16 in the SCART socket. This is the signal from the VCR/DVD to indicate that RGB is available. Disconnecting it means the TV defaults to the composite video. This is what I did.
3. Connect the TV to the VCR/DVD using component or S-VHS leads only.
