Re: No light come on from the projector

I had the exact issue, i turned the projector on and the light would flashe green for a few seconds, and then the power and lamp lights would be red, I fixed this by taking the lamp out, plowing into the power conectors, then i tightened the screws down as tight as i could, then it powered right up, good luck guys

Re: No light come on from the projector

Thats the projector telling you that you need to replace the lamp. Lamps usually lasts for about 2000 hours so if you had it for a while you may need to replace it. and enter your make and model or go to and find a few retailers in the US that sells lamps.

good luck

The projector turns on but won't project any light through the lens.

If this is a NEC VT series projector, Change the lamp. When if it continues to blink amber and not project and image after installing a new lamp check the lamp cover to see if the micro switch tab on the lamp cover broke off. Some models have a built in lens cover. If the cover is not slid over to open completely the light may not turn on.

As all the posts on here I have the same problem. My panasonic pt-lb10u turns on, green light flashes, fan comes on. Then the green light turns red and the red lamp indicator light comes on. No light emits...

If your projector won't fire up then you can't reset the lamp counter so that is not the problem.

The combination of LEDs you have given does not correspond to an error message. There should be two LEDs, one of which is the Lamp Indicator, and the other is the Temp Indicator.

It's possible that an overheating problem has caused this. Make sure the projector is in an area where the temprature is between 0 °C (32 °F) and 40 °C (104 °F) and the humidity is between 20% and 80% (with no condensation). It shopuld have unobstructed air flow around it.

Disconnect the power. Remove the lamp and place it aside. Clean the air filters, using a hoover, being careful not to damage the filter which is located on the underside at the front of the projector under a flap.

Carefully reinstall the lamp (when you say you replaced the lamp, did you buy a new PANASONIC lamp from a reputable source?) Try to fire up the projector. Note down any combination of LEDs if the projector doesn't work and post hem back here.

Lens light not glow?

1) Does the projector have power? There should be at least 1 LED lit on the body. Make sure that the on/off switch is on and that the mains feed is working.

2) Turn the projector on. Does the fan run? Are there any error codes indicated? Consult the manual for help interpreting them.

It may be that you require a new lamp, however I would verify the projector is working and that the LEDS indicate this before spending any money on it.

After changing the bulb image will not come on and solid orange light appears

Other then POWER BUTTON light there are three lights more
1. lamp indicator
2. temperature indicator
3. computer input
witch one light is flashing RED or illuminated RED with POWER BUTTON orange light.
If LAMP INDICATOR light is illuminated RED than lamp runtime has reached 1800 hours. but projector still working.
If LAMP INDICATOR light flashing RED than lamp circuit failure, or abnormal function or lamp unit is damaged. In this case projector doing the same behave just like your projector.
if TEMPERATURE indicator illuminating RED the projector still projecting and if flashing RED than turned of itself

The projector turned itself off after couple hours of use and the Temp. red light came on. Power Light turned red instead of orange as usual. After 3hrs I turned it back on, cleaned the dust off the fan...

There are three temp sensor inside the projector and now your projector need full service but if the air filter becomes clogged with dust, the internal temperature of the projector will rise, the TEMP indicator will illuminate and the projector's power will turn off (the TEMP indicator will flash after the power is turned off) The air filter should be cleaned every 100 hours of use.
If you clean the filter with a vacuum cleaner to clean off any accumulated dust. then your projector working normally

PT-L785U Projector

if the lamp warning light is flashing, this indicates a defective ballast (lamp power module). if the lamp warning light is lit steadily, then the lamp would be at fault.
