Was the N router new, or relocated? If it was relocated you will need to get it back to factory default. You can do this internally through the embedded web page, or with the reset button on the outside. Once you have established a base setting, you need to make sure your router is set up to optain IP address auto from the modem. Cycle power to both units, the modem first when it comes back up with a solid connection to the satelite, then turn on your router. It should obtain the IP address the subnet and the DNS from wildblue. You can check this through the routers embeded web page on the status tab.
I have left a lot of details out of this, just know that your setup will work, I have a linksys N router runing with WB modem. I had trouble with the router hanging onto and old DNS (re-located from another ISP). Once I reset to default setting it would accept the new DNS from WB. I believe Linksys will tell you that this combination is not supported, something about software incompatibility.
Good luck
You will need to check the settings of the router.
Your internet service provider id wildblue.
If you connect the computer directly to the modem , without any router , does it work ?

Hmmmm ... very intersting ... so "N" cannot racognize your modem but "B" can ... hmmmmm. I think Id be talking to the tech at wildblue on this. Please let me know what you find out ... Theoretically ... every upgrade should recognize the previous .. edition. The "N: roiuter should recognize the "B" modem. I don't know why it doesnt. Thanks
