I bought a Nikon Coolpix S225 a while ago and it has been working beautifully. Today I go to turn it on to check out the pics I took last night and the lens goes in and out a few times, while making weird clicking noises and then I get a ''lens error'' message. I tried taking the battery out, gently pulling on the zoom, slapping it against my palm, but nothing works. I did get it a little wet (few drops here and there) the day before, because I was out sightseeing and it was raining, but it worked fine all day yesterday. Is there any other solution I could try? I have few more weeks here in Europe and would love to be able to use it instead of dropping 200 euros for a new cam or for repairs.

My nikon coolpix s200 worked fine. Took out the battery and recharged it. Put it in backward and then changed it and now it does not turn on. What is needed to fix it. Thanks
