I have a Dell Latitude D500, The problem however, is that a times, the laptop will not turn on (power on), instead it will go into a power-on / power-off cycles. It will stay on for few seconds and then turn itself off. A few times, the screen shows MANUFACTURING MODE **** Press Fn-x to return to sys
Try reseating the memory.hereis a few things to try.Remove the battery the ac adapter, cd rom the hard drive the memory.Press and hold the power button down for about twenty seconds. This will reset the system settings and hopefully the motherboard.Use a old toothbrush and clean the contacts of the battery and the motherboard. Now reinstall all the components except the battery and hard drive, try again.
Good luck
please insert the windows boot disk and enter in the bios ..select booting option for cd drive........... ..............most probably you may have to reinstall....
if failed the problem may be with the display settings ...it is better to approach an expert or service center ........display settings options are in bios and an expert can only slove it......
thank you hope you do it soon.......
