my new acer laptop is connected to my wireless router but every time i turn it on and try to get on internet explorer it comes up with some message saying ''dial up connection cannot be established etc.. etc..'' However, when you check the network connection, it says i am connected and that the signal is very strong? and why is it trying to use a dial up when i have broadband?

please help as i am very frustrated

Open Internet Explorer, go to TOOLS drop down menu, pick INTERNET OPTIONS, click on the CONNECTIONS tab, and click the radio button NEVER DIAL A CONNECTION. Then close IE and restart it. I hope this helps and good luck. Please vote appropriately and leave a comment.
