I have Dell Dimension e520 desktop. Currenlty it has only 80Gb of Hard Drive. I want to know whether there is any limit to hard drive support ? Can I add 1 Tb internal Hard Drive by replacing my existing drive ?
Yes, the motherboard should support that size drive with no problems. You will have to reinstall windows using the discs that dell sent you originally. Be aware the drivers for dell can be tricky to reinstall.

You can't do that, it just won't work. A hard drive with XP installed on it will be unrecognizable to a PC with vista already installed on it. You can either backup your XP drive by putting it into a compatible XP computer. Or you can buy on of these, which are handy. This let's you get the data to your new PC thru a USB connection.
connect your hard drive to other computer and then have it clean by scanning with antivirus. and then copy the important files on it to the working computer. after copying the files thats the time to return back the original hardrive to the dell dimension and then reformat and reinstall the system again again. please use original operating from dell or what ever is applicable.
Hello caliandrew88,
Having a full D Drive will not cause Vista to crash. If you need to free up space then get an external hard drive to move files off of your machine.
