Describe your philips GoGear Vibe model

Philips has provided a support page for the SA1VBE04K17 with downloadable manuals and software.

Philips GoGear MP3 video player SA1VBE04K ViBE 4GB

I suspect all models of the GoGear Vibe work the same way. You turn on and off the unit by sliding and holding the switch on the side. This switch is on the opposite side from the volume controls. If you simply slide this power switch in the opposite direction, you can toggle the button lock on and off. (This locks every function except the volume control.) (Look for the power and padlock icons near the switch.)

The types of gogear vibe can be SA1xxx or SA2xxx and this two items have different software that have to install to the PC. You can get software from Philips website.
If you have SA1xxx:

Go to Settings/Sound Settings/Volume Limit and make sure it's set to the volume you want to be the max.
