I put in the installation CD, follow the directions, the programs detects the connection, and as it starts to set up the network, it reports and error and stops.

It's possible that you're just not broadcasting your SSID. Try going into the settings for your router by plugging directly into it with a laptop and visiting 192.168.1.1 (usually, might be different for your router). Put in the username/password (should be written on the pamphlet or be on the CD somewhere) and check your wireless settings to make sure that "Broadcast SSID" is checked. Also be sure that you've given it a unique name, and password protection is always recommended.
There is no need for installation cd; just use your internet browser (Internet Explorer, Mozilla e.t.c.) in order to connect at the router's ip and make the proper settings. In case you don't know your router's ip, follow this guide: Connect your computer with ethernet cable at the router and after the connection has been established, hit start - run - type cmd. At the new black window type ipconfig and hit enter. You will get the results for both ethernet and wireless connections (if a wireless one exixsts). The line for Default Gateway is the one containing your router's ip.

1. Make sure your PC is connected to the router directly and the LAN ports are lighting up
2. Reset the router
3. Reset the network adapter on your PC (or just restart the PC)
This should ensure that you are connecting on the LAN port.
its very easy if u put the cd and followed the steps, first of all put the cd while u still connected to the modem, then folow the steps. u will end with your computer connected to the router and ur modem connected to the router, let me know wat is ur problem exactly so i can help you.
Regards
Dont run the CD. Connect the Wildblue to your router via the INTERNET PORT then your computer to ports 1 2 3 or 4. Turn off the router wait 10 seconds then turn it back on and restart your computer. you should be online. you dont need to install the router using the CD.
if you connect it direct to your computer, make sure you have the installation cd much better. plug it to power supply. your printer to the USB and auto detect it. follow on screen instruction, put installation cd to cd rom drive. make auto search. just follow on screen instruction
what is the model number of your printer? if your setup cd is not detecting your printserver, try the ff:
-- while pc and printserver connected to the router and your printserver connected to your printer. try to reset the printserver for 30sec. Is it printing? If yes, do you see any IP address on the print out
-- If no, unplug the power for 5 seconds and plug the power back in of the printserver then try again to run the setup cd. you may also check your routers dhcp server table if its detecting the printserver
-- if printserver still not detected ty to connect printserver directly to your computer
-- search if you have bi admin utility on your setup cd and install it on your pc
-- manually assign static ip address on the printserver using the bi admin utility and on the pc
-- if successful, connect printserver and pc back to the router and check if you can ping the ip address of your printserver
Hello, I'm assuming that the dsl modem is connected to the Wireless router and the computer is connected to the router. Bring up a browser and enter 192.168.1.1 into the address window. This will bring up a prompt for user name and password. In username enter {admin} and if needed for password also. This will then let you into the router settings. Look for "Quick setup". Follow directions and see if that helps. If not let me know what it does and we'll go from there. Thanks
First of all put all connections in their respective places. Insert the TrueMobile 1184 Wireless Broadband Router CD into the computer which is directly connected to router and follow the on screen instructions.
