Microsoft Office Windows Installer Problem

Was it perchance installed under a non-admin account? That inevitably casses the symptom you describe. Uninstall it, delete the MSOCache folder from Windows, delete the office folder from Program files and, preferably, clean as much office junk as you can from the registry. Then install logged in as an administrator. Using "Run as..." doesn't always work :{{ Then again, you could always go for Open Office. Sure there's a little bit of a learning curve & on 1st load it takes an age to start up - but it doesn't screw with your OS :))
