Assuming you have Windows XP or later for an operating system you should be able to just plug it in a USB port on your computer and it should be recognized as a drive letter. Then you can drag & drop files on the drive.
To clean the drive open "My Computer" and right-click on the drive and choose format. This will erase all contents from the drive.
