On my dell xps 2010
on my dell xps 2010 the keyboard lights flash but i get no response from the computer. the mouse works fine and i can log in that way but can't type

- i will try that later today howeveer i have another question with another machine. i have a dell wireless keyboard i don't know the model. it works fine but wi would like to reprogram some of the fast key at the top for HOME MY COmputer etc can this be doneOct 29, 2009

Hello Are the mouse and keyboard a wireless set? Try unplugging and replugging the keyboard and mouse connectors on the computer(or receiver in this case) Also reset both devices by pressing the switch at the bottom of the keyboard and the receiver. Make sure the batteries are in good condition also try removing the batteries for about 10 min and press the keys on the keyboard to try and discharge it.
