First of all you need to install the Microsoft ActiveSync (for windows XP) or WIndows Mobile Device Center (for Windows Vista) After that open the Internet Sharing, select USB and click on Connect. Now connect your USB cable to the Laptop, it shall install the drivers automatically, wait for a few minutes and after that you can use the Internet on the laptop via your phone.

I connect to the internet by using my HTC touch cellphone with Airtel GPRS as a modem and on Bittorrent I get download speeds of upto 20 to 25 kbps also. However, for the past 3-4 days, the download speeds have fallen down to 0.5 kbps. The max I am able to get is 1 kbps as a combined speed for multiple torrents total. However, the internet is running fine and fast on browsers, and downloads on other tools like Ares, or even independent IE downloads give high speeds. I have taken certain steps to test also: 1. I tried adding new torrents to Bittorrent but those are also slow. 2. I tried adding new trackers to existing torrents and those are still slow. 3. I installed Limewire and tried new torrents and also existing Bittorrent torrents also to that, but even that is slow. 4. I tried changing download ports on Bittorrent also but that is of no use. Can someone advise me what to do? Three of my torrents are at 90%, 51%, and 53% so they're quite far into the downloads to just give up on them. Can anyone help me in this case?
