I dropped my panasonic tough book C-484HHUEM when working on it

I have dropped my panasonic tough book when it was powered on and it now it will not boot up fully. The height of the drop was half a meter.

Why do you think it will not boot up fully as it switches off after about 30 seconds?

My thoughts are it could now have a problem HD but i dont know where to access it so i can remove it and have it checked.

thank you for your help its greatly appreciated.

Yes it is VERY likely the harddrive that is damaged given the symptoms that you are reporting, most especially if the drive was in use when the drop occurred or if it was onto a hard surface. I recommend just purchasing a new 2.5" 320gb sata drive off of ebay (asking to make sure it is compatible with your system) as they only cost $65, and self disassembling. Instructions for disassembly can be found here:
http://www.laohu.co.uk/r4/hdd/cf-r4-hdd.html

otherwise you can take the computer into a shop and pay them to fix it.

I perhaps wrongly assumed you had tried to boot into safemode, please do this if you have not already and do start > run > and type
    chkdsk c: /f
your harddrive may be fine just a small section of it damaged.

Help! I fell in the parking lot of a store yesterday and dropped my Kindle. It was in its protective cover, but after my fall it stopped working and I was in the middle of a very good book!

Phone Amazon. They will replace the device for a small proportion of the orginal cost of the device. For me, it was £40 on a device worth £120.

Need to disassemble

to remove the keyboard on the cf-18 keyboard you must remove the 4 screwsby the ESC, F4, F10, and PAUSE key. once removed lift the 2 covers and holding the keyboard from Function key sides lift up slowly. There are 4 sticky tapes holding the keyboard, once some of the tapes are off you can slide the keyboard up towards the LCD to remove. The connector to the keyboard can be removed by removing 3 screws from the aluminum center cover found under the keyboard
