My Genius Mousepen 8x6 conflicts with iTunes

My Genius Mousepen 8x6 tablet works well in Windows 7 x64, just untill i launch Itunes. Then the drivers stop recognizing the pressure, and Win 7 stops seeing it as a tablet, and sees it just as a mouse. Any ideas?

    Thanks for your reply.
Unfortunately, i find itunes the best music catalogue out there, and it can disconnect iPod but leave it charging.
I could as well throw my tablet out of the window and purchase a wacom.
The only workaround I have found for now is running itunes in first place, and the connecting the tablet. However, i have to replug the tablet after hibernation / reboot.

Uninstall itunes : 3
if you do not have an iphone you should have little use for this program which is a notoriously bad piece of software in windows.

winamp will be able to be used to sync almost any mp3 player with your library.

very sorry you did not find my solution helpful, but itunes is known to cause many problems on windows. I only use it on my mac computers because of the headaches it has caused me in the past.

Genius USB mouse is not recognized on my laptop using windows 7

Before you use you need to install it and the system requirement (compatibility) should match or it wont work, some softwares are XP use only and there Windows 7 version are releasing slowly because of its compatibility.

I changed my cabel in my genius mousepen 8X6. Reinstalled the drivers from CD properly, but the windows want to update the thing anyway. Hadno choice, but to do it. And now my working area not cover the...

This isn't a solution, but a work around to this annoying problem - if someone else knows how to resolve this I'd love to know what the deal is as it's really annoying and I'm running out of swearwords.

Anyways, download the driver from here
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/Windows-7/en-us/Details.aspx?type=Hardware&p=GENIUS%20GmbH%20MousePen%208x6%20USB%20Tablet&v=GENIUS%20GmbH&uid=31100001101&pf=0&pi=6&c=Mice%2C%20Keyboards%20%26%20Input%20Devices&sc=Other%20Input%20Devices&os=32-bit

Then, in the folder you unzipped it into you will find:
\PenTablet\WIN7_32\TabCfg.exe

Run that, and select the Pressure tab - you'll suddenly be able to use the full work area, but only as long as that window is open and it's on that tab.

Annoying, I know, but at least now I can utilize my full work area.

I have a MousePen 8X6 graphic tablet and by mistake I plug the device to my laptop before installing the tablet software. Now I can not install this software anymore.

With the tablet unplugged from your system, Install the software that came with the MousePen. This will ensure that your system has all of the necessary drivers.
Once that has completed, plug your tablet into a different USB port on your laptop than what you used before. Once you complete this, it should work. What version of windows are you using?

Hello,

You are getting this message as this product is tested for Vista Only. However that does not mean that it wont work on the XP. You can continue the installation even when you are getting this message and it should work fine on the computer.

Hope that helps
