Bell and howell 2000D FB grayscale scanning

how do you set bell and howell 2000D FB for grayscale scanning?it seems after i set it for grayscale scanning there is a warning box message saying that : "ATDS does not currently support grayscale or color scanning..etc"
isn't bell and howell 2000D FB support greyscale scanning? now i can only use black and white mode only. i am using a kofax adrenaline 850 scsi card.
