I don't know anything about digital cameras. Iput in the batteries, changed them x2. Can't even get the camera to turn on. Help!

For this problem try the following:
Make sure that you are installing a fresh/ full charge battery
Remove the memory card and the battery
Clean the metal contacts on the battery using a clean cloth
Use the camera w/o the memory card
If problem still persist call the Tech Number

when you turn it on it buzzes, flashes red, and shuts off. i have charged th battery completely

Z1275 produces horizontal lines through images. Flash, auto, program....doesn't matter what mode.
