I am experiencing purple and green horizontal

Assuming all your inputs are connected properly and no defective cables or heavy overloads too your tv:

Inside your tv are a few cables one of which has a large ferrite 88ohm cylinder around it. This cable fails often and will cause strange affects on the screen. In most cases I have replaced the cable and took care of similar problems. Also the problem could be from the HD color convergence circuit IC also as it fails often too.

Re-check all of your connections too the tv be sure the cables are in working order and good condition. be sure all connections are proper in orientation, fit, and color code. Do this before honoring the warranty or consulting a repair shop.
