It will be more better to buy a new TV, than trying this TV repaired. The screen itself will cost around 2/3rd of the total cost of the new TV. Just think about the total expendature that you will have, including repair charge.
You can try using Google to find a replacement screen for your set, but be advised, a new screen almost costs as much as the whole set. Just type in replacement LCD for the make and model of your set andyou should get soome results. There are severeal people who deal in these and your local tv repair can also get you one.
First, search on the Internet for a screen replacement part - there are several vendors. Select a vendor and determine the cost of the part. Order the part if you think it will be worth it to fix. You can either replace the screen yourself or have a repair shop replace it for you - they will charge for labor.
You can order a new one off ebay or an electronics repair shop for anywhere from $15-$30 depending on the site. Search for video on youtube for how to DIY, it is super easy to replace!
Yes it can be repaired. I recommend meeting someone new and possibly get a restraining order. You'll then find that your LCD screens tend to last much longer.
It is to expense to replace, I have talked to Daewoo parts and it cost about 2000 dollars for the panel. Better off finding another broken tv, that does not have a broken display panel and fixing yourself.
