Our Canon Powershot A95 has a very dark screen

-   Hi I have a Canon PowerShot A95 - and I love it recently it has started doing some funny things -
for example
It appears to take a photo and you see it on the screen but when you go back to preview the picture is all white with very faint shadows.
Then all of a sudden it does work
Now today I noticed I had the white screen with faint shadows problem and I am using the camera on auto setting - then when I tried again there was no picture on the screen.

Any thoughts would be appreciated -   snoofie65
