i bought a sidekick online and there is a three digit security code that i can get past but i can turn off is there anything i can do short of trying all 1000 combination?

T-mobile may be able to reset the phone for you if you take it to one of their corporate stores. Short of that, unless the phone has a hard reset built in no there i nothing else you can do.
