When you replaced the color wheel it had two cables that connect into the DMD metal box.
One is a 3 or 4 pin connector with a plug.
The other is a flat ribbon cable usually orange in color.
What sometimes happens here is the ribbon cable only has contacts on one side---same with the socket it slides into.
It is quite possible you got the ribbon cable in backwards---contacts on the ribbon cable not facing or connecting to the socket.
Usually on these sets the socket will have the contacts facing the back of the light engine--
Remove the light engine again and check this out--if you got it in backwards (I did it many years ago the first time I did one) the set will detect the color wheel is not connected and NOT ALLOW THE LAMP TO COME ON.
Lots of videos and instructions on the internet do not tell people about this simple mistake that can be made.
If the set worked before, I bet you got the ribbon cable in backwards---no big deal.......

I have a Samsung LCD 46" TV, only 4 months old. Almost since the beginning, it has emitted a low hum that varies with the volume. The hum has gotten louder and is audible even during normal TV watching. The picture is excellent. What do I do? This is becoming frustrating. I have two other Samsung TVs, neither exhibit this problem. It is clearly getting worse.

I thought it was a fan problem but they both work. If I watch the tv for a while the picture just freezes. Its not the cable or cable box.
