I can't install win xp SP2 on Epox 4pda3i with 2.2 GHZ Celeron D proc on it. First proc was 2.6 GHZ Northwood and was work. I make recently update bios and i save my old BIOS vers on stick for safe. What can i do for this situation? At win xp sp2 install, copying files at begining and after restart PC for installation, get blocked on blue screen from installation with mouse cursor on this. Won't work with any BIOS version installed.

I follow steps from the book with SATA driver F6 install from floppy disk from begining. Is not a SATA driver problem. Can you fix that anyone? Most probably, my problem is incompatibility betwen MB and Celeron D procesor. Posible because is an old BIOS (software) version instaled on BIOS EEPROM circuit (hardware)? Can you help me with a good bios version anyone? Link or some like that. Free from internet download.
I pulled my hair out trying to get a 2.8 Ghz (SL7E2) processor to work in my ep-4pda3i board. Ended up going back to a 1.8 Ghz processor.
Anybody know why? Bios is latest revision. Computer would hang at all kinds of different times during post, or if I was lucky and got that far, during bios setup at random times. Hung or looped at mup.sys (or shortly thereafter) if I didn't enter the bios setup but tried to boot windows xp safe mode. Used several different ram, agp and pci vid cards, etc.
Your hard Drive is sata/raid you need to load the drivers for it, when you begin the win xp setup it ask you to press F6 for 3dr party drivers, you need to have the drivers on al floppy disc and hit F6 when it ask you to and it will load the drivers from the floppy disc,
If your board didnt come with the drivers on a floppy it has it on the cd, you need to copy it to a floppy the main board cd will tell you how to do it
