SOURCE: GE double oven - bottem will not heat, top oven fine

I ended up taking the control board out the the oven, took the board apart and found a loose connection (solder joint) on the bottom of one of the relays. resoldered the bad connection now the oven works fine.

I have GE model#JKP45WOP2WG double oven wall unit. Lower oven isn't heating up properly. Bottom of lower oven doesn't seem as hot as the top of the oven... replaced oven sensor, not

Most double wall ovens are technically two separate oven boxes. The lower oven box has its bake, boil elements, high limit thermostat and ofcourse its own oven sensor. If the lower oven box boil is working good and less heat on bake feature may suggest that the bake element is burned out and only getting preheated with boil element. Just a suggestion here

Temp shows 400 but oven is at 300

Is it continues to heat up then its working fine...if it continues to heat pass 400 then your have a thermostat problem and the oven is out of control. I do believe that the display is not an actual reading of the oven temperature, instead it is a reading of where the operator has set the temperature to . I have yet to see an oven with a actual reading temperature display.

GE oven JKP26GOP2BG wont heat

either the temp sensor probe in the oven cavity it open/shorted or way off scale and telling the control board the units up to the temp set point, theres a way to test these with an ohm-meter for resistance at certain temperature but i dont have the chart for that test,it may be inside the unit if you can locate it

Ge profile oven lock button won't go off

  • 1.Press the "Clear/Off" button on the control panel to reset the oven. This will clear the lock setting and unlock the door.

2.Allow the oven to cool to room temperature to avoid turning the lock on again during this heating cycle.

3.Reset the oven to the temperature you require to finish cooking by pressing the correct temperature control on the control pad.

  • 1.If your GE Profile microwave won't turn on, unplug it, then plug it back in. A power outage may have occurred due to a power surge. Check your home's fuses and circuit breakers.

2.Set the clock of your GE Profile microwave. Certain models will not operate until you set the clock. Select the "Clock" key and type in the correct time.

  • 3.Hold down your microwave's "Off" button. You may have accidentally hit the control-lock feature on your GE Profile microwave. Hold down the "Off" button for three seconds to turn the lock off.

  • 4.If the sensors of your GE Profile microwave are not working correctly, remove the food from the machine. If the sensors detect food-surface temperatures over 200 degrees Fahrenheit, it will not work properly until the area cools down.

  • 5.Contact GE Support if you are unable to resolve the issue on your own. Call the GE Support hotline or browse the help library on the GE website. You can also schedule a service visit on GE's website.

As the oven heats up toward the set temperature,

Usually this is a problem with the temperature sensor or it's wiring. Sometimes this is caused by a failure in the control board. If you eliminate the temperature sensor as being the cause (either by measuring its resistance or by replacing it) and it seems to be the control board, then we can help you with that. GE Profile Stove baking option not working

Possibly the bake igniter, the temperature sensor or the electronic oven clock/control. Does broil mode heat properly or does it run cool also? If broil heats to the proper temperature then the temperature sensor is probably ok. That leaves the ignitor or the controller which takes some more troubleshooting. If it is the controller, we repair them at
