Evreytime i startup my dell inspiron 1300, it takes at least 15 minutes to start

You probably have a lot of programs starting in the startup. Try to change the settings so that they don't start in the startup. Also try un-installing programs you no longer need. Hope that helps.

Check my work, before you hand it in -- there could be some DELIBERATE errors in my fractions. :-)

Marie takes 100 minutes for 1 job.
Marie took 50 minutes for 1/2 job.

Ann takes 120 minutes for 1 job.
Ann took 30 minutes and did 1/4 job.
Ann took 20 more minutes and did 1/6 job.

Together Marie & Ann did 1/2 plus 1/4 plus 1/6 job in 50 minutes.
Together Marie & Ann did 6/12 plus 3/12 plus 2/12 job in 50 minutes.
Together Marie & Ann did 11/12 job in 50 minutes.

Liu did the rest (1-(1/2+1/4+1/6)) job in 20 minutes.
Liu did the rest (1-(4+3+2)/12) job in 20 minutes.
Liu did the rest (1-9/12) in 20 minutes.
Liu did the rest (1/4) in 20 minutes.
Liu worked for 5 minutes.

look up what you have in the startup files, alot of stuf you download puts thier product in the startup and it will take longer for your pc to turn them on and off:

Goto start menu and type in:

goto start up and turn off anything that you do not need to run at start up....becareful that you do not turn off key components to your system...just look for software you have downloaded...this will help speed up your start up and shutdown....

My acer 5620 laptop boots up with a sharp long sound that goes on for at least more than 3 -4 minutes and stops when the xp sign apprears. Pls tell me how to fix. Solz

Try taking the ram out and giving it a good clean. Then reinsert it. While your at it might as well give your entire laptop a good cleaning, get yourself a can of air.

Hope this helps, give me thumbs up please!

Network controller driver increases the booting time to an hour

Hi. Chaek if you have a flash drive, SD Cards or any USB devices connected to your computer when you turn it on. If you have, then remove them.

You can also try to disable most start up rograms by going to Start, Run then type msconfig... click start-up tab and click disable all. Don't forget to leave a checkmark on your antivirus!

Hope that'll help!

Hi everyone, I have HP Compaq6910 notebook. The problem is that when it start windows it was too slow. It will take almost 3 minutes to display the Windows loading bar and another 3 minutes to log in to...

Sounds like you have to many startup programs. Check msconfig

Don't download or scan anything they ask but it tells what each processor does so you can manually check which ones you obviously don't need and then uncheck them and choose selective startup.

Your boot time will be much faster. Obviously you want all the neccessary startup files to boot so only uncheck the ones you know you don't need at startup.

I think thats why your screen takes so long to boot.

Acer 5570 edata load problem and locks up to user login screen!

Try taking the battery out while the power cord is still plugged in.
There is a huge recall on their batteries, yours could be one of them.
Try going onto the recall web link @
Just remember that on their dropdown menu (of the different model #'s) they use an "x" rather then a 0. Good luck & I hope this helps!

Starting up taking to lond

The logon process depends on what all programs are starting up with windows, if you have installed plenty of softwares that start up with OS then it takes some time as all the start up process has to be loaded into memory.

I you have any unwanted softwares that start up during the OS start up, Uninstall them, this will speed up the startup process.
