Re: xbox, not 360
Replace the power supply. Make sure what version yours is before doing so. One has a single row connector that goes to the Motherbrd...the other has a dual row connector. You can also use a PC ATX type power supply from an old computer just to try before you spend bigger cash. There are suppliers online that sell the power supply. you'll also need a torx driver to get the 6 screws out of the bottom of the case. See www.llama.com for more info

if it doesnt open this is what i do to mine cause i have your problem ok 1st step:lift up the the front of your xbox360 console gently then step 2:drop the front of the xbox360 softly back down not hard or to violent step 3:if that doesnt work keep on hitting the open and close button were you enter the disc but not too fast ohkay well thats all my info hope it works
Its probably because of how old it is mine never did that till recently. It will still work just keep a disc inside the xbox and itll be fine. And if you want to try to fix which could probably damage your xbox but i wont stop you here is a guide.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E3f9MZm7rQc Btw I realize that he is very akward in his video but definetly helpful. Also I did not include disassembly of xbox which you might want to do on your own if your really brave and not afraid to damge your xbox.
