If you are not using genuine Lexmark cartridges you will encounter this error.
Also, the cartridges may be defective and fail the electronic test.Take the cartridges to your nearest Office Depot or Office Max and ask them to test the cartridges.
I had the same problem with mine and they found the electronic strip on the cartridges to be worn out.

remove the catridge,check its correctly put in the space
take the catridge and again re insert
restart the printer
