Press the setup button. Go to the audio tab and set the subtitles to off.

Sometimes, a unit will get stuck. After doing the step above, put a movie in and wait for the menu. Use the DVD menu to go to audio and select the subtitle option to off.

In both cases, if the option already shows it is off, then turn it on. Exit and go back into the menu and turn it off again.

How can I turn on subtitle on my TV?

You probably want closed captioning (CC) in a language of your choice. This selection is made during initial set up and can be changed by returning to it. Subtitles are part of the material you are viewing and can't be changed.

How do you turn off subtitles, I have turned off, but every time I change channel it reset to on again? Model L32HA91

I know you may have sorted this by now, but this question is everywhere for this tv, I solved it

Same directions as before,

Menu-Features-subtitles, THEN CHOOSE 1ST SUBTITLE,

scroll through languages, until you reach OFF
also turn off analogue subtitles, cures it.

hope that helps
