I have had a Sony DVD-CD 5 disc player hooked to the receiver with an optical cable with no problems at all until the audio portion of the CD player quit. By substituting the other cable for a DISH satellite receiver I have determined the optical cable is working. It seem to be the receiver input itself. Other than go back to an RCA type connection what can I do?
