Question about Keyboards & Mice
1. The message "Replace your wireless keyboard battery" keeps popping up. I have changed it. Several times. Nothing wrong with the battery.
Keybourd is HP 5188-4461.
2. The wireless mouse cursor frequently shoots all over the screen. Sometimes without being touched. Tried synching.
Mouse is HP 5188-4459
I had this same problem,and i was pulling my hair out trying to get rid of that darn warning window...until i found this site and changed my batteries,now it's gone and my hair is growing back. thanks

sounds like you have reverse mouse enabled go into the control panel find the properties for you mouse, this should be a check box you can disable.

ok fallow these steps
clike start menu>settings>control panel>mouse>pointer>go to scheme and select none and apply changes.
your mouse cursor will become normal.

SOURCE: wireless mouse problem
This mouse needs to be synched up with its base.
Press the button on the base, then press the button on the bottom of the mouse. After this, when the light flashes on the base, it is synched and should work again.

REPLACE THE BATTERY AND UPDATE THE SOFTWARE AND PUSH IN THE RESET BUTTON ON THE BUTTOM OF THE MOUSE SO IT KNOWS WHAT FREQUENCE TO OPERATE AT
