Re: connect to pc .. can't fix it

The step that the reps probably forgot was that you have to power the GoGear off before re-connecting it to your PC for a proper repair.

1) Back up all files on the GoGear
2) Open up Philips Device Manager (Start --> All Programs --> Philips)
3) Click on the Repair Tab, and look for a msg that says connect the player while holding the volume + button
4) Disconnect the GoGear from the computer and turn the GoGear off - hold in the volume + button and continue to hold it as you reconnect the GoGear to the computer; after holding the volume + button for up to 20 or 30 seconds, a window will open up saying that your device is being repaired (now you can let go of the volume + button); after the repair is successfully complete, your GoGear will be good as new

Hello i have a mp4 media player, my problem is that no turn on the batery is ok when i put the select in ON the media player no turn on i try to connect in to the pc but no conected to can you help me

Good morning, afternoon, evening or night; whatever time of day you are viewing this. Thank you for choosing FixYa to solve your problem. Your problem is that your MP4 player will not come on, even when you connect it to your PC? Well, you should try recharging your battery. There are two ways you can charge this device using your USB cable. The first way is by connecting the USB cable to your PC. Charging will take 8 hours by this method. The second way is connecting the USB cable to the wall charger that was supplied with your media player. If you had a problem connecting to your PC, you should try charging via the wall charger. Charging is much faster this way than using a computer. If charging doesn't turn your device back on, your battery may be defective. If that's the case, you'll need to get the battery or your media player replaced. Hope it's just a recharge that's needed. Thank you for choosing FixYa as your one-stop solution spot for your problems. Have a good day, afternoon, evening or night; whatever time of day you are viewing this. My player gets stuck and shuts down only after a day..!!

Try doing a repair in the Philips Device Manager, but it may not be enough to rid the player of a virus. Definitely worth a shot, though.

My creative zen is completely dead it doesn't power on at all also it doesn't charge there is no power what so ever please help me

I have had the problem of the completely dead player after having it for less that an day. No response to any buttons, no response when plugged into USB to charge, and Windows sees it as an "unknown device" when plugged into the PC. It tried the reset hole, and still nothing.

Then I tried connecting it to the PC to charge and then using the reset hole. Success - the player sprang back to life, fully charged. Hope this helps someone.

My Ilo MP3 will turn on but will only turn off after loading.

Either the device is bad, the pc port is bad, or the software is faulty. Try connecting to different usb port, then a usb port on a different pc with a compatible os. If still not recognized, then there is physical damage to player.

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.

My mp3 won't turn on

I think i have a solution to your the power not coming on with a charged battery. On the back at the very bottom is a reset button (very tiny), get a saftey pin or tooth pick and press and release. I did this and now i am not hunting down Samsung....Have good day! WhupAzz
