Jamo DMR60- sound doesn't match dvd

The sound is off by half a second or so and I can't figure out why? Lips not in sync, people talking are behind the sound on the dvd

I have the DMR61 and have the same problem. Its all in sync for around 10mins of a DIVX then it goes completely out. Any thoughts???????

I have the same problem. Lipsync sucks, home burnt DVD's in any format causes picture to halt and creates funny flickery images.

DivX support is really lousy. Even on a memorystick it sucks.

So my conclusion is: NEVER AGAIN JAMO! Nice design, but it simply does not deliver.

And yeah, I have tried to get in touch with Jamo, but they refuse to answer...

I have the same problem. I have been in contact with Jamo Denmakr and Norway. They are aware of the problem. There are two issues/answers:
1 If the DVD your're playing has scratches reading error accumulate and then audio sync problems occur. (My meaning is lo quality DVD drive). You might overcome this by reburning the divx file to a new disc to avoid read errors.
2 The DVD drive itself is defective and should be replaced. Warranty should cover this of course. I do receive my DMR-61 this week after DVD drive change. I hope this will fix it...but I don't believe so. Crossing my fingers.

I have the same problem with my jamo dmr 70. sound doesn't match as well. and now, the unit doesn't accept commands from the remote. I think it's the receiver and not the rc because when I press anything, an error message appears on the screen. I've written about the remote issue to Jamo several times but they didn't even have the courtesy to reply.

    Their after sales service sucks!

I have a JVC G40 DVD home theater system and when I play DVD's the voice and picture don't match up. Specifically, Peoples lips move and then a second later what they say is heard...how do I fix this?

When viewing on Digital TV:-
Sometimes Audio and Video signal can not be transmitted simultaneously due to additional process time for the video signal compared to that of the audio signal.
Often video signal takes more time than the audio signal to convert from analogue signal to digital signal in the Digital TV.
It may result in mismatch of the picture and sound.
In the TH-G30/40's HD AV Sync menu, you can adjust the audio signal delay for simultaneous AV signal transmission
1. Delay time can be varied in 10msec steps.(0 to 300ms)
2. Delay time is different between TV Brands.
So you need to adjust the delay time for correct lip-sync.
The adjustment is listed in the instruction book page12

Sound doesn't match the movie?

Look at the settings on the DVD/Receiver you are using. There is an option for adding a delay between the movie and the sound. Try to adjust that.

USB problem

It seems the DVD player is not recognizing 4GB flash disk. I have checked and I can't see that there is a firmware update for this model though I can see one for the DMR 50. Try contacting Jamo support

If you have another usb lead or a lead that can collect two usb sockets to the flash disk you may find this works as there is more 5 volts power available from two sockets.

We depend on you rating solutions - I hope this is useful.

Speakers

Any make should do, just be sure the ohms match or else you run the risk of damaging the speakers if they are under rated, or the reciever if they are overrated. Usually it can range from 4 to 8 ohms, which is represented by a horseshoe shaped symbol.
