Problem for Whirlpool Calypso GVW9959K Top Load Washer

Our Kenmore Calypso 110.21082 is making a thumping sound in the wash cycle but not during the spin cycle. Seems to thump a little louder with every load. Any suggestions?

This washer has a very complex ujoint system that make the wash plate "nutate" as Whirlpool defines it. Something may be wrong with this system. I recommend having a pro do this job unless you have good mechanical prowess.
