My stereo shows an error 13 when I try to play my usb. Does anyone know what the problem might be.
Hi, i got the same problem with an error 13 code when i insert sd card in my vrcd400 sdu unit. Worked fine for 3 months but i recently removed card to edit play list and when i plugged card back in, i get error 13 code. Tried other sd cards and get same error. Tried the reset button. No luck. Anyone find a solution yet??

I would suggest calling or find online Crutchfield. They have been car stereo experts for many years. They sell harnesses for just about any car allowing you to plug in your stereo directly to the existing harness. I guarantee they will know!
A Bad Ground Wire on the Stereo will Cause this Problem. Have the Installer Run an Extension Ground Straight to the Battery and it Should be OK. Let me Know. Please Rate my Solution, I need all the Help that I can Get! Thanks!
I had the same problem and all I did was buy new wires the ones that came with the stereo itself burned up and seased to work. now I paid $6.00 for it at best buy. they look the same colored wires as the ones that came in it.
Let's try the easy ones first: 1. try to do a reset of the unit; 2. check that all the speaker wirings are: 2.1 connected properly following the wiring diagram; 2.2 not bare/exposed and touching any metal part/chassis; 3. verify that the MUTE is not enabled; 4. try all signal sources: AM/FM, CD, SD Card, USB, AUX; 5. verify that the SEL is set to SUB OFF; 6. replace the CR-2025 Lithium battery of the remote.
If your concern has not been corrected after completion of the above procedures, you may need to: a. open the unit for a loose connection and/or other diagnosis; b. ask assistance from the manufacturer's Technical Service at 1-800-445-1797; c. return the unit for a replacement.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.
THE FIAT BRAVO HAS A STANDARD ISO CONNECTION WHICH SHOULD PLUG INTO MOST AFTERMARKET STEREOS AND THEREFORE YOU WON'T NEED TO KNOW THE COLOUR CODE, IF THERE ISN'T ANY PLUG ON THE STEREO BUY AN ISO PLUG THEY'RE NOT EXPENSIVE AND CONNECT IT TO THE RADIO AND JUST PLUG IT INTO THE CAR HARNESS, YOU DON'T REALLY WANT TO CUT THE CAR'S WIRING
