Re: zen v

"If your Zen V is dead, wont respond to anything, try this, plug it in to the computer, hold the power switch in the on position, THEN trigger the reset button, worked like a charm for mine, I had thought it a lost cause."

try downloading the MP3 player recovery tool from Creative's website (the tool contains the latest firmware update available -- 1.15.03). Plug your ZV+ into your PC, run the program and let it update the firmware. Then format, reload your music and try it.

By the way, before updating the firmware, let the battery have a full charge, ok?

I hope it won't keep freezing on you after the update.

I dont know how to load music on my product. I am trying to load from lime wire.

The songs you downloaded from limewire should be in a folder somewhere. When you set up limewire you created a folder where your limewire mp3s would be saved You may have used the default folder. Just find that folder where your files are saved then connect your Mp3 player to your computer. Your computer should recognize it as a drive and Appear in "My Computer". Double click on the Mp3 player icon in My Computer. This will open up the player. Then with the player and the limewire folder open just drag the Mp3s onto your Player. I hope this has been helpful.

Creative Zen Vision M Digital Movie downloads

I'm pretty sure no. But if your downloading it from Limewire then some may go and some may not. You'll have to double click it and see it at the Windows Media Player. So go ahead and try it!

I purchased songs on itunes and want to transfer them to my mp3 player (creative ZEN). it won't allow me to import protected songs mp4. I can't convert them to MP3 either....any suggestions?

Try this. We had this problem too and ultimately scraped itunes and went to .
Burn you purchased songs to disk and then download the files to your device or just download limewire where all songs are Mp3 formatted and it is really user friendly. Download, highlight at lower screen at limewire and hit explore - then save file to mP3 device (just be sure to always highlight target song) and it is really easy. Good Luck and Have Fun!!!

How to download songs onto mp3 player

Follow this and you will be a pro! First download limewire at just the basic don't pay extra for the pro. Log onto limewire and type in type music artist etc on the top left of limewire screen. Click on song you want and click on download below. Once it says it is 100% downloaded another small area will open up and you will have several areas to click on. They will highlight for use when you click on the song at the second lower level. Click on explore. Make sure you Mp3 is attached and on you will see option once you click on explore. Click on save this file and then highlight Mp3 Device and then highlight the song and it will download into your device. NOTE: only use Mp3 files and never use files that say "file corrupted" simply download another choice above. Now go have a great time!!! Good Luck!!!

limewire is for downloading files.......all you need to do once your file is downloaded is copy and paste (or click and drag) from the folder where you downloaded to the mp3 player in (my computer).......also check the (kbs) on each would perfer all the files to be the same.....(96 kbs is good (you will get alot of songs) 128 kbs is great for zen (highs & lo) 192 kbs if you really into the sounds and 320 kbs is for the ultimate music lover (but u must have a great equalizer and a big hard drive)......have fun and enjoy your tunes

if you are using a fromt usb port- switch to the back usb. The front ports don't always give the zen enough power. Also- look in Device Manager and see if there is a zen listed there- and if it is does it have a yellow exclamation mark? It may not be the zen that is having problems but your computer.

Creative Zen V Plus stops reading

· Make sure you have media player 11
· If you can, the best test is to try your player with another PC, to see if you still have the problem. This localises whether the problem is with the PC (most likely the USB) or the player. See the link below (search on "connection problems") for a lot more troubleshooting on this.
· Download recovery tool off creative's website.

My Creative Zen M won't "dock"

One problem may be that the registry entry for the player is corrupted. You can find out if this is the case by opening your computer's Device Manager (this page tells how, if you're not familiar with it). Look under "Windows Portable Devices" if you have XP or "Portable Devices" if you have Vista, and you should see the name of your MP3 player.

If your player is listed in the Device Manager but has a small yellow warning sign next to it, right click on your player's name and click Properties. The Properties box may say "Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)."

If this is the case, there's an easy fix, that doesn't require any messing with the registry or anything:

--Right click on your player in the Device Manager and click Uninstall
--Unplug your player from your computer when the uninstall finishes
--Plug your player back in to your computer
--Vista will automatically reinstall the driver, and your player should appear in My Computer

Unfortunately this is for Vista. I don't believe XP will reinstall the driver automatically, so you may have to install it manually from your Creative CD. Anyway, what this does is simply uninstall the corrupt driver and reinstall it. It worked for me - hopefully it helps you!
