Question about HP OfficeJet 6110 All-In-One InkJet Printer

HP Dekjet 5650, 3 problems

I'm having three problems with my three year old printer:
1. After I print anything, after the full document is completed, my printer prints a page of black horizontal bold lines, green check marks and pink boxes. I can cancel it before it begins, but it's annoying to cancel everytime I print.
2. I began getting only half of my text appearing on all documents, including the test page (upper or lower half of text on the full line). I've replace the printer cartridge three times, I've cleaned it as I've seen suggested in other posts as well, none of these work.
3. I now have Windows Vista and no longer have the settings option for my printer. I'm looking to calibrate and align, but I can't figure out how to, even when searching the help options, it is not listed.
Please help if you can.

    After installing TWO new cartridges for black and color, my printer finally works (what's two when you've already bought three?).



    I still get the printer alignment page though, if I just let it run without canceling, it will eat about 5 or 6 pages until I'm so annoyed I cancel it anyway.



    I don't have a menu on the printer, and I spoke to someone else about the Windows Vista alignment and calibration. They told me Vista doesn't have it because it's supposed to "correct itself". As long as I'm printing, I don't care now!

    How did you get your new cartridges to fit? I'm having a very hard time figuring out how to get my new replacement cartridges to fit in their slots. Thx.

1. The Page that it is trying to print is an automatic alignment page that prints when new cartridges are installed. If it does not print successfully it will try and reprint it. You need to let it print at least once successfully.

2. What kind of cartridges are you using? Are you replacing both cartridges or or just one of them? I will bet 100% that this problem is the cartridges! And that the first problem will also be solved by getting new Cartridges in the printer. I have seen Many times where Cartridge after Cartridge have failed. Or the user is only replacing one of them, and still getting the problem.

3. An easy fix to this is both those options are available on the printer itself and you can access them with the front panel. Usually they can be found in the menu under tools.

When something like what you describe happens it is because the cartridge is dry; I change the cartridge.

HP deskjet 5650 worked great until upgraded to Windows 7 now it will not print on legal size paper


because of your upgrade you may be using a default driver module. You may have to reinstall the driver for the printer from the installation disk, or download it from the HP website.

Click Control Panel
Click Classic View
Click Printers
Select your printer
Right-mouse click on the icon
Click Properties
Set the printer to print in "colour", not just "black".

Hp inkjet 5650 cover will not close and I can't print anything.


I own several 5650's. There are two ways to solve it. Open then let the lid slam shut several times, and eventually it will close all the way. Second is to slap the right side of the printer and the vibration will let the lid close. Use gentle but firm force, I have done this alot and no damage.

  1. FIRST TRY TO CANCEL ALL THE PENDING DOCUMENTS WHICH YOU HAVE GIVEN BEFORE THEN TRY TO PRINT IF THIS DOES NOT WORK THEN TRY OTHER OPTION GIVEN BELOW.
  2. THERE MAY BE THE PROBLEM WITH USB DRIVERS IN UR PC .
  3. TO RECTIFY --- RIGHT CLICK THE MY COMPUTER ICON
  4. CLICK PROPERTIES AND THEN CLICK HARDWARE N GO TO DEVICE MANAGER
  5. UNINSTALL ALL USB PORTS AND THEN SCAN FOR HARD WARE CHANGES
  6. UR PC WILL DETECT UR PRINTER N ASK FOR PRINTER DRIVERS
  7. RELOAD DRIVERS N UR PC WILL COMMNICATE WITH UR PRINTER.
