Re: take pic button sticking

If you have just taken one or more pictures it might be that you have a very slow memory card and the camera's memory has to digest those first before it can process more. It might be a weak or going bad battery. Can't help you on the pressing hard part...

The problem is that the lens has become stuck in the barrel. There are some DIY solutions you could try, but the probability is that you will have to get it fixed by a professional.

Use these at own risk as it may further damage the camera.

Firstly , try connecting your ac adapter or usb cable.

Try holding the shutter button while switching on the camera.

Look at the lens , and if some of the lens 'circles' is misaligned or not concentric then try wiggling it (while holding camera lens down).

Try gently pushing or pulling the lens when it extends but this is risky as it may cause the lens barrel to slip out of its guidance system.

Another way to do this is to place the camera lens down on a hard surface and then power it up. Be sure to use a soft cloth or something similar as to not scratch your lens or casing. Let the lens push the camera up and down a few times and sometimes the little resistance provided by the camera is enough to get things going again.

Try hitting your camera near the lens on the body with the soft tissue on the palm of your hand.

Other than that , I would take the camera to a repair centre for a evaluation to see if it would cost more to repair than to replace the camera.

If it is still under warranty I would suggest you take it in before trying any of these steps and remove any off-brand batteries or accessories as some stores are really fussy about warranty repairs on camera's with non-brand accessories.

I lost the download cable for my Exilim camera. There is a picture in the internal memory that I really, really need! How do I transfer the picture in the internal memory on to a memory card?

This procedure will copy all files from internal memory to a memory card.

1. Load the memory card to which to copy the files.

2. Turn on the camera, enter the PLAY mode, and press the MENU button.

3. On the "PLAY" tab, select "Copy" and then press right-arrow.

4. Use up/down-arrows to select "Built-in->Card" and then press SET.

Wait until the Busy message disappears before doing anything else. After the transfer the last file transfered will appear on the display.

I have the same problem

The weaker the battery, the longer it takes the flash to charge. After taking a flash picture, you're supposed to wait until the flash has recharged before pushing the shutter button again.

Camedia C-5050 zoom won't take pics

Is your memory full? Does the camera attampt to focus when you push the button down 1/2 way? If not the mode dial may be faulty (you are not in picture taking mode) or the shutter button may be faulty (no focus attempt) Try to use the timer button to get the shutter to trip.

Card not initialized

Kyle850. I have a fujifilm finepix camera myself, and just recently had the same problem. The camera worked fine until one day I turned it on to take a picture and there was the "card not initialized" message. To fix the problem, just turn on your camera, push the menu button and use the right/left arrow buttons near the zoom button in the top left corner of the camera. Push the right arrow button until you come to the "option" window in the camera's view finder and use the "up" function of the zoom to highlight the "set-up" window. Press "ok", and use the right arrow button scoll over to the "2" tab and press the ok button again. Then use the "up/down" function of the zoom button to scroll down to the "format" tab. Press ok button again and use the "left" button near the zoom in and out button to highlight the "ok" option in the format window. By pressing the ok button here, it will reformat and reinitialize your picture card. If you do have pics already on your pic card, you may want to take your pic card to a photo center and see about recovering these pics before you go through the reformat process because there is a good chance that when you reformat your pic disk any pics on it will be gone. Good luck. SG

Cant get it right

Here's a couple things to try. It has an auto focus. This may require you to hold the camera's shutter button half way down to get the focus. Then press it all the way down to get the picture. Make sure the flash is working or that you have enough light. It's really hard to get a pic in the dark. Resolution may also be a problem. Resolution is how many pixels it takes to make a picture. Bump it up to the highest resolution on this cam. 2.11 Mega pixels If nothing else it will make prints look sharper. I hope this helps.

Reviewing my pics on the camera

Chech the manual to see if there is a sequence control. Or how the button load images. For example taking a typical example[any camera] The left right button will advance one image or back one image at a time. But the up down button will advance them in blocks of ten[or 5 or 20] according the to camera model. But if it does seem that a button is stuck on This 'button' may not the the mechanical button you push but an electronic one. Run the through the manual and if still not getting any joy contact the customer support at Canoon
