the belt is off. I can't figure it out. I've bent some of the framing in the back. It won't seem to budge and I don't want to bend anything else.

belt, etc. is not available from the rear!!!
open the dryer door and look up at the underside of the recess the door closes into and remove the 2 phillips head screws there.
then lift the front of the top a little and look along the sides to notice the metal slotted retainers for the top, the slide it forward a little as you lift is slightly..
once u get the lid loose from its retainers and lifted some it will need to be slid (i believe) to the right to disengage it from the locking tabs on the control panel. you should be able to look at the slotted tabs on the console to see which way it needs to go..
once you get the top off you should be able to look at the inside top corners of the front sheet metal face and see several 5/16th screws that once removed will allow the front to be removed..
