Take your tripod with you to HomeDepot and find a same thread size hex (big) head screw that is long enough for you. Fixed my problem.

Tv screens

Hi there
You can clean the screen with antistatic wipes or just a clean damp cloth, don't use any chemical fluids on the screen or you will damage it and turn it milky white, and you can clean it while its on.

Good luck and thanks for using Fixya!!

Screwing camera onto tripod quick release

Usually the camcorder has a hole next to the mounting screwhole. The plastic nub fit into the unthreaded hole, the mounting screw screws into the threaded hole. The nub is to help prevent the camcorder from rotating while you are using it on the tripod.
