Question about Panasonic AG-DV2000 Mini DV VCR
The Panasonic AG DV2500 deck that I have has been diagnosed as needing a replaced main board. The place it was sent to wanted over $600 for the replacement part and a nearly equal amount for the labor. The unit cost around $2500 new and the repair price seemed exorbitant. Can you suggest another way around this issue that is more reasonable economically? Thanks, Peter Ashlock
What symptom does it have? describe what it is/isn't doing; most of the problems I've seen with AG-DV2000s are related to either defective capacitors on the mechanism drive board or dried grease on the reel table positioning arms. I've never had to replace a main board in a 2000.
